IMBYRDOWENS, formerly known as J.O Jetson, has been honing his musical craft for many years. He began playing piano at the age of 9, and later learned to play the clarinet and trumpet. As a teenager, he was placed in a church choir and has since been mastering his skills on electric and acoustic guitar.

IMBYRDOWENS was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Los Angeles, CA and Redondo Beach, CA, before moving to Minneapolis, MN. Growing up in these diverse locations has greatly impacted his life and influenced his views, surroundings, concepts, and thought process. It has also had a major impact on his art and music, incorporating elements of trauma, pain, heartache, knowledge, and loss into his music as a form of therapy to remember his past and where he is headed. Despite coming from a divided family, IMBYRDOWENS has managed to overcome his challenges and remains committed to achieving success in both his business and personal life.Growing up in inner city melting pots, IMBYRDOWENS was drawn to the hip hop music culture and fell in love with it. He has always been artistic and has been through many difficult experiences, particularly dealing with death, which has greatly impacted his music and made it deep and full of pain. He started out doing rap battles before writing his own music and constantly evolving his appearance, sound, and style to find out who he was as a person and artist.

IMBYRDOWENS released his first single, "Bad Girl," nine years ago, and has since been working with artists across many different genres, including Paul Wall, KXNG Crooked of Slaughterhouse, Kill Nigel, LostinVegas, Davy Grey of Shades of Grey, producer Bassgawd, Caskey, Jimmyboi the street jeweler, Street Kings, R&B singer JC, and many more. He has also hit the stage with Ray J, Rick Ross, Davy Grey, Bone Thugs, Lil Wayne, ASAP Mob, Action Bronson, Currency, and Trey Songs, among others.

IMBYRDOWENS' current sound is a mix of rock, rap, and trap music, showcasing his background on both sides of where he comes from. He has a unique genre of indie rock/trap metal and often wears a mask on stage, covering both physical and mental scars and allowing listeners to interpret his music without seeing his face or emotions. He is an artist who embraces both the light and dark sides of his personality and will not shy away from sharing his experiences and emotions through his music.In addition to his musical talents, IMBYRDOWENS also has an extensive background in art and creates much of his own imagery, illustrations, photos, videos, and clothes for his brand. He is a true artist who brings his own visions to life.
